The Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce will host the 2015 Hawaii Employment Law Seminar 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 4 at the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center’s Moanahoku Hall.

The Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce will host the 2015 Hawaii Employment Law Seminar 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 4 at the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center’s Moanahoku Hall.

Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the revised 2015-16 “Hawaii Chamber Desk Manual: Labor and Employment Law for Hawaii Employers,” and a continental breakfast and lunch are included.

The seminar provides information for Hawaii businesses and highlights the most current human resources and personnel law trends.

This year’s sessions include “Avoiding Costly Discrimination Claims”; “Legal Issues Terminating ‘At-Will’ Employees”; “Wage and Hour Update: Wage Theft and AAP Changes”; “Terminations: Practical Tips and Settlement Agreements”; and more.

Early-bird registration fee is $325 for Hawaii Island Chamber and SHRM Hawaii members or $350 for nonmembers who register and submit payment by Friday (Oct. 9). After Friday, the fee for members will be $375 and $425 for nonmembers. Discounts are available for multiple attendees from a single business.
